    Who We Are
    Dr. John Jackson
    Dr. John Jackson is the President of VisionQuest Ministries, and the founding and Senior Pastor of Carson Valley Christian Center in Minden, Nevada. The church launched its first worship service in February of 1998 and has become a model for planting a "High Impact Church". The church has over 1600 people in worship in three services each weekeend. This is all the more remarkable considering that there are only 100,000 people within 30 miles and only 5% of the people in the surrounding area attend church!

    John formerly served as Executive Minister of the American Baptist Churches of the Pacific Southwest (1993-1997) where he headed a mission staff supporting and encouraging the ministries of 270 churches located in four Western states. With his leadership, a remarkable financial recovery was coupled with deepened enthusiasm and increased commitment to the mission enterprise. During his four year tenure, baptisms doubled in the churches of the Region.

    John is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara (Ph.D, M.A., in Educational Administration), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.A. in Theology/ Christian Formation), and Chapman University (B.A. in Religion/Christian History, cum laude). John and his wife Pamela have five children ranging in ages from 20 to 6.

    Steve & Kirsten Wilson
    Steve & Kirsten Wilson form a dynamic team as writers and editors of much of the material produced at CVC and VisionQuest Ministries. Both are graduates of the International School of Theology with M.Div. degrees. Steve oversees the Spiritual Growth Ministries of CVC which exists to move people from CVC's crowd into deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. Kirsten is a frequent speaker at womens retreats, a leader in the CVC drama ministry, and a frequent writer of our performance sketches and major works.
